At Beginnings, the next educational step that you take with your child and family is an important one. We value each child's individuality and learning style and think seriously about what learning environment would be the right one for kindergarten and beyond. We start the process the spring before your child is in the 3/4s, 4s, or 4/5s depending on whether you are thinking about Pre-K or K. Jane has multiple low-key coffees (featuring her own baked goods!) for parents to walk through all the options: zone public schools, gifted and talented, and independent schools. There is always a former Beginnings parent who opens the conversation talking about their process and time for Q&A at the end. Following the coffees Jane meets one on one with all families to put together a list of schools that would match both your child's learning style as well as what you are looking for as a parent. These one on one meetings continue through the year as needed. Jane is always accessible for questions at any time for support throughout the process. And to de-stress during this time Jane hosts opportunities for parents to exercise together or go to a happy hour together. And when the time to make a final decision Jane is there to help weigh the options. She has a wealth of knowledge about ongoing private and public schools and wants to make the process an easy one for all.
